Complete, Portable Wetblast System

The Wetblast FLEX is a portable, rugged, all-in-one wetblast system engineered to provide high-performance wetblasting with maximum dust suppression, convenient operation, application versatility, and performance superior to traditional slurry systems and competitor wetblast machines. It is ideal for heavy-duty wetblast jobs. It also can rinse, air dry, and quickly be set up for dry blasting. It includes:

  • 6 cuft blast machine
  • Wetblast Injector pump module
  • 120-gallon storage tank
  • Complete unit mounted on a portable, steel-framed skid
  • Many other features

The Wetblast FLEX System has everything you need to start blasting now!

Description and Features

Simple to Set Up

Fill the 6-cuft blast machine that comes with the FLEX system with dry abrasive, fill the water tank, add rust inhibitor if desired, or simply connect to a municipal water supply. Connect compressed air, adjust the metering valve, blast pressure, and water pressure. A single air connection supports all pneumatic equipment. It’s that easy.

Superior to Slurry Systems

With the Wetblast FLEX system, water and abrasive mix outside the blast machine, so operators never have to empty a messy water-abrasive mix within the machine. Operators also choose whether to connect the water injector at the blast machine base or at the end of the nozzle, so they decide from where to control the water-abrasive ratio. However, most often the water injector is installed at the end of the nozzles so that control of the water-abrasive ratio is at the operator’s fingertips.

Abrasive Cutoff System (ACS)

Control media ON and OFF with the ACS. With injector adaptor and ACS mounted at the nozzle, operators can control washdown and surface blow-off without a trip to the blast machine—no pot tender needed.

Skid Mounted

The complete Wetblast FLEX system is mounted on a portable, steel-framed skid with forklift pockets and lifting eyes.

Accessible Water-Source Options

Use the 120-gallon water tank mounted on the skid or hook up to a municipal water source.  Add rust inhibitor if needed.

Quickly Switches to Dry Blasting

Simply remove the injector adaptor mounted at the base of the blast machine and turn off air to the pump. The Wetblast FLEX System also can easily be used for rinsing and air drying.

Convenience & Versatility

The Wetblast FLEX system’s clever, yet simple, design features offer convenience unavailable with traditional slurry systems and competitor wetblast machines:

  • Streamlines setup and shutdown.
  • Increases application versatility.
  • Eases blasting operations and increases operator productivity.
  • Maximizes dust suppression.

COMPARE: Base Unit versus FLEX Package

Base Unit

FLEX Package

When You Need a Base Unit

If You Already Have Certain Equipment

Choose a base unit if you already have coupled blast hose, nozzles, and operator safety equipment—but need a blast machine, pump module, and other components and accessories necessary for wetblasting. Then with the addition of a base unit, you are ready to start wetblasting.

Two Base Unit options:

  • Normal pressure (NP)—for 50 to 120 psi
  • Low pressures (LP)—for 5 to 120 psi.

What A Base Unit Includes

All base units come with the following components and accessories:

  • Blast Machine—Contractor Model 2448, 6 cuft capacity with 1¼” piping, built to ASME code, National Board approved, rated 150-psi maximum working pressure
  • Remote Controls—Pneumatic: Millennium Inlet Valve, TLR Outlet Valve, RLX Control Handle, Abrasive Cutoff System , 52 ft twinline hose, 52 ft ACS hose
  • Metering Valve—Auto Quantum (AQV)
  • Pump Module—Wetblast Injector
  • Pipe Injector Assembly
    • 1¼” fine thread x 1” entry /or/ Contractor thread 50 mm x 1¼” entry
    • 52 ft water hose
  • Water Storage Tank—120-gallon capacity
  • Base Unit Accessories
    • 24”-diam screen
    • 24”-diam cover
    • 1½” pressure regulator
    • 1½” air filter
    • Safety cable
  • Steel-Framed Skid—Complete unit mounted on this portable skid.
  • Nozzle— Note: Not included with base units. Order separately or order a FLEX package.

Nozzle Injector Assemblies: Two Choices

Base units are available with two nozzle-injector assemblies. Choose the assembly that matches the threading of the nozzle you intend to use:

Fine Thread

    • 1¼” Fine Thread
    • 1” Entry

Contractor Thread

    • 50 mm Contractor Thread
    • 1¼” Entry

Each base unit comes with two versions of the injector assembly that you select. One assembly is designed for installation at the base of the metering valve and the other for at the end of the nozzle. The location of the injector assembly determines where operators can control the water-abrasive mix.

When You Need a FLEX Package
